Margalla Heavy Industries Limited (MHIL) is a premier defence engineering organisation headquartered in Taxila, Punjab, Pakistan. Operating under the aegis of the Ministry of Defence Production, Government of Pakistan, MHIL stands at the intersection of sovereign capability and engineering mastery.

Since its establishment, MHIL has been the backbone of Pakistan's armoured vehicle programme — manufacturing, rebuilding, upgrading, and conducting research and development on a wide spectrum of defence platforms. Rebuild & Overhaul Operations Begin
MHIL commences full-scale rebuild and overhaul operations on Pakistan Army's armoured fleet, including T-59 and T-54/55 tanks — significantly reducing dependence on foreign maintenance support and establishing MHIL as the backbone of national armoured sustainment.

Armoured Vehicle Manufacturing

Complete fabrication, armour welding, hull assembly and systems integration for Main Battle Tanks, APCs, ASVs and specialised wheeled / tracked platforms. Production is carried out on ISO-certified lines with digital quality control.

MBT Rebuild & Upgrade

Comprehensive mid-life upgrade and depot-level maintenance undertaken for Pakistan Army's armoured fleet. Capabilities include engine replacement, fire control system integration, composite armour fitment and complete hull refurbishment.
